WOMEN & LEADERSHIP
Terrie OHanlon has been designing and directing marketing
organizations for more than 20 years, ranging from early stage
start-up companies to Fortune 500 corporations. Her career has
included developing strategies for initial public offerings;
corporate divisions for spin-off; merging corporate entities
and creating cohesive positioning and marketing strategies.
She has helped launch products and services across a range of
categories including: consumer products; publishing; complex
enterprise-level software; personal computing software; computing
hardware from PC peripherals to mainframes; strategic consulting
services; electronic commerce products and services; telecommunications
products and services; and financial services. She has directed
these strategies from executive-level positions at both companies
and marketing consulting firms.
As an executive in a two-career family with three children,
Terrie brings an intimate perspective to leadership development
for women and to creating and maintaining work-life balance.
As a marketing executive who has built and directed marketing
teams for organizations in early stage, high-growth, divestiture
and acquisition stages, Terrie helps maintain high performance
in changing organizations, while strengthening teamwork and
alignment between sales and marketing organizations.
Her corporate career includes positions with AT&T, CheckFree,
Medaphis (now Per-Se Technologies), Dun & Bradstreet Software
(now part of Geac Corporation), and The Software Link. Her marketing
consulting career includes executive positions with InContext
Group, which she founded in 2003 to deliver strategic positioning
and sales and marketing alignment services; Crescent Communications
(now part of Ketchum Worldwide), which provides marketing consulting
and creative agency services to technology companies; and the
Magazine Publishers Association, which provides consumer life
cycle and competitive research and marketing consulting services
to more than 200 publishing companies with 1,200+ consumer publication
titles.
The teams that Terrie has led over her career have received
a variety of awards, including the Silver Anvil for Marketing
Consumer Services, and the Bronze Anvil for Business to Business
Media Relations, both granted by the Public Relations Society
of America; The Annual Marketing Award for Excellence , granted
by Georgia State University; and numerous top awards for film
and video used for marketing and corporate communications, including
the Aurora Award, the Summit Creative Award, and the Cinema
in Industry Award.
Terrie holds an undergraduate degree in journalism from the
University of Florida, where she was honored as Valedictorian.
She was also named the Most Outstanding Graduate of the University
of Florida College of Journalism and Communications and the
John Paul Jones Magazine Feature Writer of the Year. In addition,
Terrie holds a Masters in Business Administration in Marketing
from Columbia University.
