BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Anne is a business professional with 23 years of broad experience
in consulting, marketing, start-ups, law and education. As an
executive coach and trainer, Anne helps individuals and companies
achieve their professional objectives and highest level of performance.
After receiving her J.D. from the University of Georgia School
of Law in 1986, cum laude, Anne practiced law for five years.
In 1992, she transitioned from lawyer to entrepreneur and co-founded
In-House Counsel, Inc., a legal staffing company. As President
of In-House Counsel, Anne conceptualized the business idea;
researched and established the business; managed, budgeted,
developed and marketed this new idea in a conservative business
environment; and ultimately grew revenues from ground zero to
$1.5 million in four years. In-House Counsel became a key firm
for attorney staffing and careering in the Atlanta area, and
was a pioneer in the temporary attorney placement business.
Anne sold the company in 1996 to Special Counsel, Inc., the
national leader in the industry. She subsequently managed the
Atlanta office of Special Counsel for two years and successfully
integrated two ongoing businesses into one productive entity.
During a stressful transition period she was able to keep employees
motivated while growing revenues to $5 million in two years.
After taking a six-month sabbatical in 1998, Anne returned part-time
to Special Counsel as Vice President of Business Development
where she continued to assist many Fortune 500 companies and
major Atlanta law firms. She left Special Counsel in 2002 to
devote more time to consulting and executive coaching.
Anne provides services in business development, organizational
and career management, executive coaching, and leadership and
management development. She has created, chaired, moderated
and spoken at numerous Atlanta Bar Association seminars for
lawyers on career development and transition, and has spoken
at seminars for other organizations including the State Bar
of Georgia. Anne is a member of the American Corporate Counsel
Association (ACCA), the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers
(GAWL), and the State Bar of Georgia.
